Over two dynamic days, participants engaged in exciting presentations and discussions, fostering an enthusiastic atmosphere within the entire team. A special thanks to all the speakers and our gracious hosts at IFP Energies nouvelles for organizing this event.
The HOCLOOP project is on a mission to validate a groundbreaking geothermal energy extraction solution rooted in a closed-loop system. Tailored for both deep and shallow formations, with or without hydrothermal reservoirs, this innovative solution aims to significantly enhance the utilization of geothermal resources. By designing a geothermal heat exchanger capable of delivering stable and cost-efficient energy, the project envisions a future where geothermal power drives district heating/cooling and power generation.
The increased utilization of geothermal resources aligns seamlessly with the broader goals of ensuring a secure and sustainable energy supply while actively contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions. This echoes the EU’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
